Natural Lawn Fertilizer

Home and lawn care has become a pleasant and gratifying release for most people in today’s society. There are ever increasing ways to build your sanctuary in your own yard and all that is needed is natural lawn fertilizer.

There currently are two types of organic fertilizers that are presently being used; synthetic which essentially is organic compound synthetically produced and natural lawn fertilizer. Many people are quickly changing to natural lawn fertilizer for the most obvious reason, health. Because our society is concerned for the well being of our environment, naturally organic materials such as seaweed, fish extract, manure and compost products are continuously being used.

With new technologies being made each day natural lawn fertilizer is no longer required to be applied like seeds to the soil. Natural lawn fertilizer can be applied through spray canisters or by pouring, which is commonly done with most natural liquid fertilizers.

Because of unreliable microbe activity the soil temperature will vary dramatically which could cause a varied state of efficiency.   This means that the required nutrients that make the grass grow may not be ready in early spring. It is sometimes better to use natural lawn fertilizer during a warm period so that the microbes will break down efficiently.

Some of the more commonly used natural lawn fertilizers are fish emulsion, seaweed and crab shells. Fish emulsion seems to be the most common type of fertilizer.  Fish emulsions are made completely from fish parts which contain trace elements that are advantageous to most plants.  Seaweed extract contains more than sixty nutrients and amino acids which help promote growth and development, color and bloom. Crab shells are very resourceful in that they act as a deterrent for pests which makes them a valuable naturally organic fertilizer.

Natural lawn fertilizers are more commonly used for one reason. It is almost nearly impossible to use too much fertilizer. The required action for the fertilizer is too slow and because of the messy nature of the product most companies charge too at the store and also because it takes a greater quantity for the product to work.

In ideal situations natural lawn fertilizer is largely preferred over chemical fertilizer as they are environmentally safe. Studies have shown that most natural fertilizers out perform their counterparts in most situations and are healthier and risk free.
